What happens if I get attacked by Gregg without my armors or rings?

Does Gregg spawn again in a continued dungeon (i.e. a dungeon where you retry it after completing it) where Gregg has already spawned once, or are the spawn chances the same no matter if it is a new dungeon created or a dungeon that has been retried countless times with Gregg spawned once?
