This post is meant to provide updated information regarding bans from the Dungeon Quest game on Roblox and the Dungeon Quest Discord server.

❌ DON'T: use the wiki to contact DQ Staff. They do not actively monitor the wiki and likely will not see your request.

❌ DON'T: ask Wiki Staff about ban appeals. They cannot assist with the ban appeal process, as they only manage the wiki.

❌ DON'T: come to the wiki or Wiki Discord Server to complain about how you feel about the ban or otherwise negatively contribute to the community as a result of being banned. This will significantly hurt your chances of receiving any appeal whatsoever.

✅ DO: treat our community, Wiki Staff, and DQ Staff with respect, regardless of the outcome of your appeal. Appeals are provided as a courtesy.

If you are banned in-game:

✅ DO: use the Dungeon Quest Discord Server and ask a moderator there for the "banned in-game" role so you can appeal it.

If you are banned from the Dungeon Quest Discord server:

✅ DO: use the Dungeon Quest Wiki Discord Server and ping ONE "Official DQ Staff" to start an appeal.

✅ DO: check the #server-info channel within the Wiki Discord server and read the Thread regarding Ban Appeals, as it will provide you will helpful information for Game and Discord bans.

Party Creation had been up for about 2 years and had just under 150 posts total. This is a rate of about 1 post every 4-5 days, with multiple sizable gaps exceeding 2 weeks.

Trading had been up for about 1 1/2 years and had just over 800 posts total. This is a rate of about 1.5 posts per day, with multiple sizable gaps exceeding 1 week.

What I'm trying to say is that this dead wiki had categories that were even more dead and extremely underutilized, and we feel that the majority of usage would be best served on the DQ discord server, rather than here.

Party and Trade posts will still be allowed in the General category, but I really don't see its usage reaching a point where I'll have to add them back.

I am making this post to mention what I have in mind when it comes to changes that I am currently proposing for the wiki.

Ongoing Changes

• Standardization of article design for armor/spell/weapons. Green, Treasure, AJ, and I (and maybe bst too) are all working on a standardization for armor, spell, and weapon articles. This will involve moving most of the text to a template. This is mainly being done to line up the average base/upgrades listed on the page with the actual itemData on the table and to make things consistent. An example of what this will look like can be found on the Sunlight Staff page.

Proposed Changes

Here are some thoughts for some changes that could be made:

• CREATE: Inventory page. There is no explicit mention on the wiki of how the Inventory actually works. Yes, we might know from playing that you get 300 slots and that it's somewhat organized, but the existence of a page for this might make things easier for newer players or people who may not know everything it has to offer.

• CREATE: Play Menu page. Similar to the Inventory page, except for the Join Dungeon and Create Dungeon portion of the interface. This could be a potential candidate for mentioning Difficulty and Hardcore mode (see later portions of this post).

• CREATE: Game Interface/UI page. Similar to the Inventory page, we make a page entirely dedicated to elements of the Interface.

• MOVE: Hardcore mode section. This is only briefly mentioned on the "Dungeons" page, and feels out of place there. This could be placed onto a page where it would make more sense for it to reside.

• CATEGORIZE: Dungeons page. Due to navigation changes I made, this page is no longer necessary, and can be made into a Category page for all of the dungeons rather than a dedicated page (there is a difference and it would help for linking stuff just ever-so-slightly easier).

• EXPAND OR DELETE: Health page. This page has been poorly maintained for years. My thought on expanding it was to provide a resource for "recommended health". This could either use the current page, or move to a blog.

• DELETE: Player Statistics page. This could be a subsection of the aforementioned Game Interface page.

• DELETE: Difficulty page. Difficulty isn't necessary to have as its own page, and would fit better as a subsection of another page.

That game is dead, sorry.

I am currently making strides to help streamline the following appeal processes in the Wiki Server:

• In-Game Ban appeals

• Discord Ban appeals (ban from Dungeon Quest server or Arena Champions server)

• Wiki Block appeals

I will share what I have with wiki staff and then make a further announcement and amendment to our Rules page.

NOTE: In-game bans and Discord bans can only be handled by an official moderator for the Dungeon Quest and Arena Champions discord servers. This is why the Wiki Server has multiple moderators from those servers that can help with appeals.

In order to determine a winner, I am tasking the community (including participants and non-participants) to read through each of the stories.

• Smooth? Does each element of the story fit? Is it easy to read?

• On-topic? Does the story stick to the theme of the dungeon it is meant to portray?

• Immersive? How effective did you feel the story was at pulling you in?

1. You are NOT ranking based on who wrote the story. This isn't a popularity contest.

2. Voters are NOT allowed to use alts for additional votes.

3. If you participated, I would prefer if you didn't vote for yourself.

THEME: Dungeon Lore

Choose any of the game's non-event dungeons and write a short story about its lore.

PREREQUISITES: Make sure it is smooth, on-topic, and immersive

The winning story will ultimately be chosen based on how smooth, on-topic, and immersive it is. Make sure whatever you write about flows nicely and is not only easy to read but is also able to grab the reader's attention.

There are no prerequisites for length, although it must be a complete story, which will require 2-3 paragraphs minimum.

DURATION: Must be finished by the end of January 29th, 2022.

In order to ensure that writers have enough time, but not too much time, participants will have until this date at 11:59PM UTC-6. Voting will commence some time on the 30th. The winner will be announced on February 1st.

PRIZE: Winner takes all:

• Legendary Storyteller reward for your profile.

• 800 R$ via Digital Gift Code (to abide to Roblox TOS).

The next gaming session that will be hosted will be a DQ-themed Skribbl.io. I am currently unsure on when this will occur, but if anyone wants to do it tonight or this weekend I don't mind.

What is Skribbl.io?

Skribbl.io is a free online drawing game where one player selects one of three prompts to draw and the other players have to guess what it is. Guessers get points based on how quickly they can figure out the prompt. Not only do the guessers have to get the word within an allotted time frame, but the drawer has to draw it within that same frame as well. One round is concluded after every player gets a chance to draw a prompt.

How do we need to prepare?

Before we can run a game of Skribbl.io with a Dungeon Quest theme, we need to come up with a list of prompts. We should try to get at least 40 different prompts (word or phrase), to ensure that we avoid the same thing appearing over and over whenever possible. Here are the criteria:

• Prompts must relate entirely to Dungeon Quest. At this time, prompts relating to the wiki will not be prioritized, sorry.

• Prompts can only be up to 30 characters in length.

Are there any other guidelines?

• Do not guess or draw inappropriate or offensive items. This is self-explanatory, especially since the theme of the session is "Dungeon Quest". No suggestive drawings. Mild violence depictions are okay.

• While the name of the game is skribbl.io, try to keep your drawing somewhat concise. Giving up and writing the name of the prompt you're supposed to draw or throwing your mouse across the room and making one giant undecipherable mess isn't fun for anyone.

• You must use your Fandom name. This will make it easier to determine not only who participates, but also who won.

Noobyrblx011 was a Bureaucrat of the DungeonQuestRoblox Wiki. They were one of the first editors that assisted with the wiki during its creation, and due to their experience editing on other wikis, they received a position here. After TotallyNotJullian's departure in mid-2020, Noobyrblx became the primary asset uploader of PNG images relating to in-game content.

I personally did not talk to Noobyrblx011 outside of during the releases of Volcanic, Aquatic, Enchanted, and Northern, but I along with the rest of the wiki staff will miss them nonetheless, and hope that their endeavors within the Roblox Interwiki project and elsewhere still hold strong.

I have recently become aware of this issue, and I will see if there is anything that we can do to hopefully resolve this.

I've been way too lax for the longest time, and apparently some individuals want me to "take care" of these issues and the """undesirables""".

Here's what I'm going to do from now on:

I am not going to block people for being "cringe or annoying".

That isn't an actual block reason. If somebody is posting off topic stuff or is only posting to start arguments, they will be punished for violating Discussion Guideline 5, not because they responded to a thread and you don't like them.

Stricter enforcement of "inappropriate or offensive language" rule.

This has always been a point of emphasis, but I haven't really gotten on anyone here for it. The word "prick", among other words pertaining to inappropriate or offensive contexts, are NOT allowed to be used on the DungeonQuestRoblox Wiki.

If you're going to hate each other or argue outside of the wiki, don't bring it here.

If you are unable to settle your differences in an argument, especially if it did not start here, don't continue or prolong it here. The primary instigator, and possibly the other party involved (depending on the severity), will be blocked for violating Discussion Guideline 5.

As always, I would like to thank anybody who has helped make any positive edits on the wiki at all, especially over the past 4 days. Part of what makes a wiki what it is are the people that contribute to it, big or small.

The two big questions:

• Images? I have recently been supplied with the images by the legendary Spiriti. Some of you may know who this is, especially if you are a member of the DQ Leaks discord server.

• Exact item stats? Again, these will be sent to me by Spiriti for insertion onto the wiki. This will take a while.

Are you ready?

Our primary leakers can no longer use the methods that have been utilized since Samurai Palace, and other DQ leakers now have to use a process that takes much longer.

The process we used back in Pirate, King's, and Underworld takes a bit longer as well and leads to the images being slightly lower quality than the leaks.

In addition to that, I highly doubt that we will receive the images from Vinny himself; besides some messages in March 2019 he has never spoken to the editors in regards to this type of stuff.
