Legendary

Legendary is the fifth rarity tier in Dungeon Quest. It was the highest tier in Dungeon Quest from March 2019 to June 2022 before it was dethroned by the Ultimate tier with the addition of the optional boss fight in Northern Lands.

Weapons[]

Legendary weapons cannot be obtained in any other rarity, which sets it apart from the rarity tiers below it. These weapons can only drop on Nightmare difficulty from any Dungeon and Wave Defence, as well as from any tier of Boss Raids if the player's level falls within the Nightmare difficulty of their current highest unlocked dungeon.

The legacy versions of Desert Temple and Winter Outpost each have one hybrid weapon that can be used by all classes. Every other dungeon has two weapons each, with one utilizing spell power and the other utilizing physical power.

In Northern Lands and above, the Legendary weapon drop rate is estimated to be 0.18% (or roughly 1 in 555). The Legendary weapon drop rate for lower dungeons is currently unknown, but is likely to be around 0.3% (or roughly 1 in 333) based on messages sent by the game's original creator, vCaffy. Additionally, legendaries from Orbital Outpost and below have had their drop rates further boosted by unknown amounts, with the remastered versions of Desert Temple and Winter Outpost currently having the highest droprates by far.

Abilities[]

All abilities in Dungeon Quest drop with a predetermined rarity. There are five total rarities that an ability will have (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary).

Legendary abilities can be dropped on Nightmare difficulty from Volcanic Chambers to Northern Lands. They do not drop in Gilded Skies and Yokai Peak, and on both Insane and Nightmare difficulties from Abyssal Void. The drop rate for Legendary abilities is currently unknown, although it is speculated to be approximately 0.05% (or 1 in 2,000).

Trivia[]

• Legendary drop rates have received temporary increases during certain events. After the conclusion of the 2021 Halloween Event, the increased drop rate from the event remained in place for every dungeon up to Orbital Outpost, although the exact amount it increased by has never been disclosed.
