In-game cosmetic button

Cosmetics are items used to customize the player's loadout in Dungeon Quest. Cosmetics can be purchased for Robux (R$) through the in-game shop or earned for free by completing certain objectives, participating in Events, and even from Dungeons and Wave Defence.

There are five types of cosmetics: Auras, Enchants, Weapons, Armors, and Titles. Once earned or purchased, they are permanently accessible within the Cosmetics tab (located above the Inventory tab), and the player is able to equip one of each type at a time. Cosmetics only serve the purpose of vanity, overriding the appearance of any equipped gear. Cosmetics do not give a gameplay advantage.

Auras

Auras are visual effects that can be applied over an equipped armor. Auras were added with the end of the Mechanical Menace Event on 06.07.2024, making them the newest type of cosmetics in the game.

There were no methods available to obtain free Auras until Halloween 2023 Event was released. The 2023 Haunted Hoard introduced two auras called Bats and Haunted. See more here.

Enchants

Enchants (formerly referred to as Weapon Enchants) are visual effects that can be applied over an equipped weapon. Enchants were added with the arrival of Winter Outpost, making them the oldest type of cosmetics in the game.

Each enchant provides one of three effect types; cover (covers the weapon), trail (trails behind the weapon), and both (covers AND trails the weapon).

Game Pass Enchants

There are 5 enchants that can be obtained with the purchase of a game pass instead of from the Cosmetic Shop.

There were no methods available to obtain free Enchants until Christmas 2023 Event was released. The 2023 Snowflake Shop introduced two enchants called Evergreen Gleam and Arctic Frostfall. See more here.

Weapon cosmetics provide a visual override to the player's weapon if one is equipped. Weapon cosmetics were added in The Underworld update.

Armors

Armor cosmetics provide a visual override to the player's armor set and character. Armor cosmetics were introduced alongside Weapon cosmetics. There are multiple methods in which armors can be earned for free, which include earning Dungeon Cosmetics drops and participating in events.

Dungeon Cosmetics

Playing through Dungeons on Nightmare difficulty has a 0.48% chance (about 1 in 208) of yielding a Dungeon Cosmetic, but there are exceptions:

• In the remastered version of Desert Temple and Winter Outpost completing on Hard difficulty will yield a dungeon cosmetic.
• Yokai Peak will yield dungeon cosmetics at any difficulty.

In addition to an armor cosmetic themed after the dungeon it was dropped from, an Achiever title is also rewarded. Hardcore mode does not affect their drop rates.

• Players can obtain dungeon cosmetics in Wave Defence, but the armor cosmetics are NOT awarded on Easy, Medium, Hard and Insane difficulties, then only the Achiever title will be awarded.

Obtaining any three Dungeon Cosmetic drops will activate the Cyan runestone for the Excalibur Quest. Cosmetics that do not count towards the runestone:

• Shop Cosmetics
• Event Cosmetics
• Any dungeon cosmetic above Enchanted Forest, though this is likely an oversight.
• Desert Temple (remaster) and Winter Outpost (remaster) dungeon cosmetics, only the legacy dungeon cosmetics count.
• Non-Achiever cosmetics in Yokai Peak and Abyssal Void.

Dungeon cosmetics are typically added in a separate update after the initial release of a dungeon.

	Inventor	This cosmetic resembles a typical steampunk, wearing a suit, pocket watch, bowler hat, bandanna, a gauntlet on their right hand, and being one of the people that created the bots.
	Steampunk Sewers
	Space Mercenary	This cosmetic resembles an astronaut, complete with a spacesuit, a laser pistol sidearm, and two oxygen canisters on their back.
	Orbital Outpost
	Lava Demigod	This cosmetic resembles a bearded man made partially of lava and molten rock. He has a mohawk, beard, orange pants, a molten rock left arm, a glowing lava scar across the chest and back, and a fiery shard covered glove on the right hand.
	Volcanic Chambers
	Aquatic Assassin	This cosmetic resembles a mercenary made of ice wearing a hood and a robe encased in spiked shoulder pauldrons, a chestplate, spiked knee and elbow pads, and also a professional sea assassin.
	Aquatic Temple
	Mushroom Assassin	This cosmetic resembles a humanoid purple mushroom with glowing lavender eyes. It wears clothes seemingly made out of wood and purple leaves. A purple circle lies on the mushroom's chest, and also being a professional mushroom assassin.
	Enchanted Forest
	Einherjar	This cosmetic resembles a fallen Norse soldier that was chosen to be transported to Valhalla. It wears a norse armor, a norse helmet and a cape on its back.
	Northern Lands
	Lumenflame Champion	This cosmetic resembles Gilded Skies' former champion of the Lumenflame that was bore with pride and honor. It is completed with a helmet with horns, spiked pauldrons, gilded armor, a Gilded Skies' emblem at the chest of the armor, and wings on its back.
	Gilded Skies
	Tatsu's Spirit	This cosmetic resembles Tatsu, Lord of Tides.
	Yokai Peak
	Oni Spirit	This cosmetic resembles a spiritual being who's connected with Onis, has no legs and complete with robes, straw hat, Oni mask with glowing yellow eyes and blue particles.

Titles

Title cosmetics are rarity-colored text that appear on top of the player's name plate. Titles were introduced in the Wave Defence update. There are multiple methods in which titles can be earned for free, which include completing a certain number of waves, earning Dungeon Cosmetics drops, and after completing quests or event objectives.

Defender Titles

Playing through Wave Defence can allow the player to unlock special Defender titles. These titles can be earned from every map within the Wave Defence game mode. The title rarity increases with the amount of completed waves, with a Common title dropping at wave 30, an Uncommon title dropping at wave 45, a Rare title dropping at wave 100, and an Epic title dropping at wave 300.

Each title uses one word to describe what map the waves were played on. "Desert" is used for Desert Temple, "Winter" is used for Winter Outpost, "Pirate" is used for Pirate Island, "King" is used for King's Castle, "Demon" is used for The Underworld, "Samurai" is used for Samurai Palace, and "Canal" is used for The Canals.

Cosmetic Shop

This includes the difference between the "Featured Shop" and the "Daily Shop", the set prices for an individual item based on rarity and type, every shop cosmetic, and a list of references that some cosmetics may have in regards to popular culture or other forms of media.

Trivia

• Before the new lobby change there used to be a Wizard who sold four Weapon Enchants (Embers [250 R$], Flames [350 R$], Lightning [350 R$], and Plasma [450 R$]). Currently, these enchants can still be purchased in the game pass section on the Dungeon Quest game page on Roblox.
• Title is the only cosmetic type that has a Common rarity. All other cosmetic types scale from Uncommon to Legendary rarity.
• The rifle on The Canals' armor cosmetic resembles a Model 1859 Sharps rifle, a falling block action gun and part of a series of guns first made in 1848 by Christian Sharps.
• Ironically, the Bunny Knight cosmetic has anime styled face even though the players can not see it normally. However, players can see it if they zoom in perfectly.
