Ghastly Harbor is the 8th dungeon in Dungeon Quest and was released on 2019-08-26. Players must be level 110 in order to play Insane and level 115 to play Nightmare. The theme of the dungeon is mostly a reference towards folklores that fishers tell such as the Kraken, and the Sea Serpent.
Ghastly Harbor has a total of eighteen weapons, nine armor sets, and eight abilities. The Raider is the basic melee enemy, and the Harpoon Gunner is the basic ranged enemy. The dungeon has two special mobs, two mini-Bosses, and one main boss. It is recommended to go into Insane with 500K+ HP, and approximately 750K+ HP for Nightmare. Players have twelve minutes to clear the dungeon.
The main theme is (raw) Pirates.
Mobs
In Ghastly Harbor, there are a total of four different types of mobs. Each mob has a base health of 2.81B on Insane and a base health of 7.1B on Nightmare difficulty.
Raider
The Raider is a melee-type mob. The Raiders live in Ghastly Harbor having a hat, a black suit having some blood, and is wielding Dual-Pirate Cutlasses. It has similar AI to the other melee enemies like the Sand Peasant, Frost Minion, Ice Minion, Pirate Savage, King's Guard, Demon Warrior, Samurai Swordsman, and Bodyguard. It will chase either the closest player at the start or the player that has dealt the most damage to it unless it is taunted. Raiders move much faster than most enemies from previous dungeons, having the same base movement speed as the player and requiring the use of a speed potion or spell that grants increased movement speed to outrun them.
Harpoon Gunner
The Harpoon Gunner is a ranged-type mob. The Harpoon Gunner lives in Ghastly Harbor, they are armed with a hat, a suit, and a harpoon gun. It has similar AI to other ranged enemies like the Frost Wizard, Pirate Rifleman, Elementalist, Dark Mage, Shuriken Thrower, and Dark Magician. It will follow either the closest player or the player that has dealt the most damage to it unless it is taunted. Unlike the Shuriken Thrower and Dark Magician, the Harpoon Gunner's charge-up time is much slower and the beam thickness is significantly smaller, similar to that of the Pirate Riflemen and Elementalist, making it much easier to avoid compared to the Dark Mages, Shuriken Throwers and Dark Magicians.
Burly Enforcer
The Burly Enforcer is an AoE-type mob. The Burly Enforcer lives in Ghastly Harbor, being huge and tall. It can crush people by doing a bellyflop with it's strength. It has similar AI to the other splash enemies, such as the Hitman and Elite Swordsman. However, its attack pattern is very unique where, instead of stopping in place to slash at the player, it will instead perform a massive belly flop that causes the screen to shake. Upon landing, it will stay on the ground for a few seconds before getting back up and repeating the process. It is also among the fastest (and possibly the fastest) AI in the game along with the Ultimate Swordsman. It will follow the closest player or the pcharge-uplayer that has dealt the most damage to it unless it is taunted. It deals the most damage out of all the other enemies in Ghastly Harbor dealing around 150K on Insane and 300K on Nightmare.
Cannon Crab
The Cannon Crab is an AoE-type mob. It has similar AI to The Elder Dark Mage; it has a large range and is given the blessing of AoE. The Cannon Crab is a crab that is using cannon parts for defense. It has four legs, has two red eyes, and the cannon being the nozzle. The Cannon Crab is a unique enemy, it has the same walk speed as the Harpoon Gunner, but it will summon circles on players at random dealing damage shortly after appearing (similar to the Corrupt Overlord), that will dissipate after five seconds. However, note that this can be completely avoided if players decide to constantly move. It's also worth noting that the player must stay away from the yellow circles even after the Cannon Crab is killed, as it will still deal damage as if the Cannon Crab was still alive until the circles disappear. Cannon Crabs are not affected by taunting spells or damage amount and will always attack the closest player.
Bosses
Ghastly Harbor has a total of three bosses, consisting of two mini-bosses and a main boss at the end of the dungeon. Those bosses being, The Kraken, the Corrupt Overlord, and the Sea Serpent.
The Kraken
The Kraken is the first mini-boss of the Ghastly Harbor, located in the 4th room. The Kraken is a dark green giant squid with two red eyes, having two large tentacles, and a couple of tentacles right next to it. The battle will start if the player enters the arena. Once the player enters the arena, the Kraken will emerge from the water and the fight will start. The Kraken has a total of three moves.
Poison Shark Throws: The Kraken will start throwing poisonous sharks onto the battlefield which will do damage if the player touches it.
Tentacle Slam: through out the fight, the Kraken will continuously slam down its left tentacle on the battlefield, targeting players at random. After the Poison Burst move, it's right tentacle will rise up from the water. The right tentacle has the same attack patterns as its left, except hitting approximately half a second after the left comes into contact with a player.
Poison Burst: The Kraken will shoot out ink in a sunburst pattern four times, changing direction slightly after each hit.
The Kraken has a base of 11.49B HP Insane, and 30.42B HP on Nightmare difficulty.
Corrupt Overlord
The Corrupt Overlord is the second mini-boss and is currently considered the most difficult mini-boss in Ghastly Harbor. The Corrupt Overlord is equipped with the Corrupt Overlord cosmetics, and is holding a retexture version of the Kraken Slayer. This boss has a total of three moves.
Corrupted Zigzag Lines: When passing onto the dock, the Corrupt Overlord will make a zigzag pattern of purple lasers that deal poison damage on the dock.
Corrupted Circles: During the Corrupted Zigzag Lines attack, the Corrupt Overlord will summon corrupted circles on a random player. It is recommended to strafe sideways in a rectangular gap to avoid this attack, as it can easily trap the player if the angles of the pattern downsize and leave no space to dodge, this is repeated for five times.
Cannon Ship: After the Corrupt Overlord finishes casting five corrupted circles, the Corrupt Overlord will teleport into the ship behind the dock. For this phase, a player will have to go to the base of the dock and grab a cannonball from the pile (highlighted with a blue circle) and walk to the cannon to fire it, all while dodging a barrage of cannonballs appearing at random. During this time, the Corrupt Overlord will be invulnerable. This will cause the Corrupt Overlord to teleport back onto the dock and repeat the zigzag attack, allowing players to attack it. The cannonball deals no damage to the Corrupt Overlord but will end the barrage of cannonballs. It is recommended to use a lengthy spell such as Spirit Bomb right before the Overlord appears to get damage without the laser interference. After this the cycle repeats.
The Corrupt Overlord has a base of 11.49B HP Insane, and 30.42B HP on Nightmare difficulty.
Sea Serpent
The Sea Serpent is the final boss of Ghastly Harbor. The Sea Serpent is a mythical blue dragon that has yellow eyes. The Sea Serpent cannot be damaged by melee attacks; only abilities have the power to damage this boss. The Sea Serpent has a total of four moves (two being passive).
Blue Flame Floor [Passive]: As soon as players enter the arena, the Sea Serpent will rise out of the mountain from a wooden platform, and the rest of the map will become quickly covered in a blue layer that will constantly deal a percentage of the player's current max health similarly to Samurai Palace (20% every 0.3 seconds).
Bubble Burst [Passive]: Every ~3 seconds, the right side of the wooden platforms will create a sunburst attack firing bubbles, then after ~3 seconds, the left wooden platforms will create a sunburst attack firing bubbles, and will alternate again and again.
Dragon's Breath: A large rectangular area appears, and the Sea Serpent will proceed to spit fire from his mouth on a random player dealing DoT damage.
Bubble Circles: After the Dragon's Breath attack, the Sea Serpent will proceed to summon circles on every player, activating and doing damage shortly after they appear (four hits max), similar to the Corrupt Overlord's attack. The cycle will repeat, until its defeated.
The Sea Serpent's theme is (raw) The Mighty. The Sea Serpent has a base of 11.49B HP on Insane, and 34.89B HP on Nightmare difficulty.

Trivia
- Ghastly Harbor is the first dungeon to:
- Not be available in Wave Defence.
- Feature a mob that does not use the Roblox humanoid model, being the Cannon Crab.
- Smite and Mighty Leap are the first speed boost abilities that have the Rare rarity and can be dropped on Insane difficulty.
- The Kraken is based on a mythical creature of the same name. It is described as a sea monster of enormous size, anatomically similar to a squid or octopus.
- Sea Serpent is also based on a mythical creature of the same name. It is a mythical creature often described as a water-dwelling dragon.
- The mascot for Ghastly Harbor is The Kraken.
- The Corrupt Overlord's armor references Drakath Slugwrath from AdventureQuest Worlds.
- It is possible to kill the Corrupt Overlord while it is on the ship with a long-ranged ability. However, this does not do anything and it will still teleport back to the field after firing the cannon.
- The Kraken and Sea Serpent are the first bosses with debut animations.
- If the Kraken is defeated immediately after it summons, its tentacles will still appear from the ocean, but the animation for the tentacles will not loop, causing them to remain static.
