Gold is the in-game currency of Dungeon Quest. Players can earn it by completing dungeons and Boss Raids, defeating Gregg, selling items, or collecting Daily Rewards. Gold is used to upgrade items to their full potential and is also used to reset skill points in order to swap classes.

Unlike weapons, abilities and armor, gold cannot be traded. If a player says they are "trading for gold," it means they are trading for items with a high sell price. Items can be sold to the sell merchant for varying amounts of gold, with higher level items typically granting the player far more gold when than lower level ones when sold.

Upgrading a weapon or armor piece will further increase its selling price, allowing its owner to receive more gold by selling it. This is not an effective way for players to increase their earnings, however, as upgrading an item only adds 15% of the gold spent to its sell price. Nonetheless, if a player is planning to use their items as gold in trades instead of directly selling them, upgrading the items beforehand can be an effective way to increase their sell price and therefore value.

Additional gold can be obtained from completed dungeon runs and boss raids, Gregg defeats, and daily rewards with the 2x Gold game pass. It is important to note that this will not increase the gold earned by selling items to the sell merchant.
