Trivia[]
- The drop rate of this weapon is estimated to be about 1 in 1,982 (or roughly ~0.05045%), replacing roughly 28% of legendary drops.
- When originally added to the game, its drop rate had a chance to be as high as about 1 in 555 due to an error that caused it to entirely replace legendary drops when running in large parties. This was fixed within a few days of release.
- In Norse mythology, Laevateinn is the mythological weapon forged by Loki, the trickster god. It has been asserted to be either a dart (or some other projectile weapon), sword, or a wand.
- Laevateinn and Hofund are the first Ultimate weapons to be added to the game.
- Around the time of the Yokai Peak update, there was a bug with this weapon along with the Hofund where Ultimate weapons could not be dropped at all
- When Voldex presumably fixed this issue, another bug appeared where new Ultimate weapons had the same pots as the legendary weapons
- In an unknown update after The Hunt, Ultimate weapons are now properly fixed albeit are unannounced in chat when somebody drops one.
