Northern Lands is the fourteenth dungeon in Dungeon Quest. It was released on 2021-12-27, and followed Enchanted Forest's release almost seven months prior. Northern Lands' theme is heavily based on Norse Mythology and Vikings.
Northern Lands requires players to be level 180 for Insane difficulty and level 185 for Nightmare difficulty. It is recommended to have at least 550M to 750M health (240M glass cannon) on Insane and at least 850M to 1.5B health (400M glass cannon) on Nightmare. Players have eleven minutes to clear the dungeon.
The main theme is (raw) Northern Lands.
Mobs
In Northern Lands, there are three different types of mobs. Each mob has 867.05T base health on Insane and 1.83Q base health on Nightmare. The mobs deal between 147M and 172M damage on Insane and between 235M and 260M damage on Nightmare.
Northern Warrior
The Northern Warrior is a melee-type mob. The Northern Warrior is wearing a retextured version of a Midgardian Warrior Set that has a white base color and light blue trim color, as well as equipped with light-blue Dual Phantom Daggers. The Northern Warrior will follow towards to the closest player or the player that has done the most damage to it. Once it reaches to the player, it will create a circle around itself, dealing damage twice with a second circle slightly bigger than the first, before firing ahead an attack in the direction it is facing.
Northern Spearman
The Northern Spearmen is a ranged-type mob. The Northern Spearman is wearing a retextured version of the Midgardian Guardian set that has a white base color and light green trim color. It appears to have the power to create a spear like energy attack. The Northern Spearman will follow towards to the closest player or the player that has done the most damage to it, and once it reaches to that player, it will create a straight line in front and behind itself, damaging players in that line. Players damaged by the line are temporarily stunned in place.
Northern Mage
The Northern Mage is a ranged-type mob. The Northern Mage is wearing a retextured version of the Midgardian Mage set that has a white base color and a light pink and purple trim color. The Northern Mage attacks by creating lines perpendicular to the direction it is facing multiple times over a large range. Between the attacks, they stay stationary for a moment before attempting to either attack again or move towards to a player to close distance. Each attack deals damage and inflicts the 'Anti-Healing' debuff onto players that were damaged by the lines, preventing them from being healed for a moment.
Bosses
Northern Lands has a total of four bosses, consisting of two mini-bosses, a main boss at the end of the dungeon, and an optional boss (which can only be fought after defeating the main boss on Nightmare difficulty). Each normal boss attack deals between 153M and 262M[verification needed] damage on Insane and between 226M and 413M[verification needed] damage on Nightmare, while the optional boss deals between 490M and 560M[verification needed] damage.
Midgardian Champion
The Midgardian Champion is the first boss of Northern Lands, encountered in the 2nd room, standing upon a pillar. The Migardian Champion is wearing the Midgardian Warrior set with a slight modification, that being the red lines replaced with white outlines, as well as holding an enlarged version of the Northern Runic Blade on its right hand. The Midgardian Champion has a total of five moves (one being passive).
Dual Beams [Passive]: Passively throughout the fight, two beams will span through the middle of the pillar and rotate around the arena, pulsing with set timing to deal damage. The distance from one beam to the last is random.
Whirl Wind Orbs: The first attack consists of many red whirlwinds being summoned from outside the arena to fly inwards, moving in straight lines around the arena, dealing rapid damage to players who make contact.
Champion's Jump: Next, a massive circle will appear under a random player, with the Midgardian Champion appearing in the middle after a long delay while dealing damage to players within the circle.
Shuriken Barrage: Next, five spiked shuriken's will then be summoned and directed towards random players. The Midgardian Champion will then release a bigger spiked ring which is much bigger in size. All spiked rings explode and deal damage in an area upon contact with a player.
Sun-Burst Barrage: Afterwards, the Midgardian Champion teleports back onto the pillar and will spawn in beams incredibly fast creating a sunburst pattern. The rate at which the passive beams spawn is increased intensely for a few seconds, along with an increase in the damage the beams do. After this, the attack cycle repeats.
The Midgardian Champion has a base of 4.13Q HP on Insane and 8.17Q HP on Nightmare difficulty.
Bob The Frost Giant
Bob The Frost Giant is the second boss of Northern Lands, encountered in the 4th room. Bob The Frost Giant is a Jƶtunn that is holding the Frost Giant Greataxe on its right hand, and is wearing an enlarged version of the Jotunn Mage Armor. Bob The Frost Giant has a total of six moves (one being passive).
Dual Ice Beams [Passive]: Throughout the battle, ice beams connected by two orbs will be sent in random directions from random locations outside the arena, moving very slowly but can deal rapid damage to the player if made contact.
Ice Slam: Bob starts off by slamming the ground with his Frost Giant Greataxe towards a random player, creating a small ice circle towards the target. The size of the rings will expand as the attack travels.
Glacial Burst: Next, a ring is summoned under up to three players with the highest health, with icicles appearing on attack, the attack greatly expanding in size each time until it has attacked thrice, dealing double the damage of other attacks.
Color Orbs: Bob will then send out an orb towards up to six random players, homing in on the targets while moving at the same speed a player would without speed abilities, requiring targeted players to lead the orb into a crystal of the same color located around the battlefield, either red, yellow, or green. If the orb makes contact with the player, damage is dealt in an area around the orb while also inflicting the 'Anti-Healing' debuff for a short moment. If the orb makes contact with a crystal of the same color, the orb vanishes. Dotted lines are connected between orbs and the targeted player to indicate which orb is targeting which person. The orbs are identical to the Energy Orb spell.
Ice Sun-Burst: Almost immediately after sending out the Color Orb attack, Bob will create a sun-burst attack outwards all around, stunning players hit for an extremely brief moment, dealing two ticks of damage if the player is close enough.
Ice Lines: Afterwards, large lines will span the arena once while similarly stunning players for an extremely brief moment, before the attack cycle repeats.
Bob The Frost Giant has a base of 4.13Q HP on Insane and 8.17Q HP on Nightmare difficulty.
Odin
Odin is the third boss of Northern Lands, encountered in the 8th room. Odin is the All-Father, or known as the chief god of a pantheon. Odin has a cape, armor, a beard, has one eye, is holding a Gungnir on his right, and is a God. Odin has a total of four moves.
Holy Blast: Throughout the battle, halved-circular beams along with a whole circle in the middle of the arena will passively[verification needed] appear four times in succession, damaging players and inflicting 'Anti-Healing' for ~1.2 seconds.
God Beams: Shortly after players enter the arena, Odin will unleash a wave of beams over time from one random side, the path of the beams indicated by dotted lines, which explode and deals damage to all players if one of them touches the beams. One is sent out initially, and then two more are sent out a moment afterwards to the left and right of the initial projectile, with more beams being sent out even further left and right over time.
Sniping Lines: Then, Odin will create two beams towards a random player, with more beams appearing over time, progressively directed away from the target and more so to the sides, inflicting 'Anti-Healing' for roughly ~2 seconds upon hit. This attack will be skipped if there are no players in the arena when its supposed to activate.
Bouncing Orbs: His final attack is to shine a light down upon the middle of the arena, releasing orbs in a spiral that bounce around the arena and detonate upon contact with a player, lasting until the next time this attack is used. Afterwards, the attack cycle repeats.
Odin's theme is (raw) Odin's Theme. Odin has a base of 4.13Q HP on Insane and 8.17Q HP on Nightmare difficulty.
Odin Reincarnation
Odin Reincarnation is the fourth boss of Northern Lands. Odin Reincarnation can be encountered in the 8th room after defeating Odin on Nightmare difficulty. After defeating Odin, players will be given an option to fight Odin Reincarnation. The fight has a timer of 5 minutes, and each player is given 3 lives for both Non-Hardcore and Hardcore. After Odin is reincarnated, his features and the arena details switch from blue to red. Odin Reincarnation has a total of eight moves (one being passive).
Spiraling Snakes [Passive]: Approximately every ~14 seconds upon entering the arena, two circles will passively spiral around the arena for the entire fight that can deal damage to players.
Ancient Blast: The first attack consists of Odin channeling his Gungnir to summon a beam and three zones of the following colors: green, red, yellow. The color shown from the beam will correspond with one of these zones. While Odin is channeling the attack, players will be given five seconds to enter the correct zone that corresponds to the colored beam before exploding the arena afterwards.
Fire Rings: The next attack consists of a ring that surrounds up to five players for a few seconds, followed by an AoE circle appearing in the marked position afterward.
Blue Orbs: Along with the Fire Rings attack, Odin will shine a blue light down upon the middle of the arena, releasing small orbs in a spiral that bounce around the arena. Detonating them will inflict Anti-Heal and one second of stun. This attack will last until the Memorization attack begins.
Beam Burst: After that, a beam attack will occur from the center of the arena, circling around the arena once.
Fire Spread: Then, large AoE lines will slowly form on either the left or right side, spreading from one side to the other with a small safety area on the far end of the attack origin. While the arena clears up the flames, the beam burst attack will occur once again.
Memorization: After the Fire Spread ends, a line will form in the middle. Either side of the line will randomly produce a green flash, signaling the order of what players need to follow to avoid the following attack. After the four green flashes, four red flashes will occur on the opposite sides, dealing ~2.5B damage each.
Healing and Exploding Orbs: Finally, large green healing orbs and red exploding orbs will randomly spawn from the corners of the arena, slowly making their way to the boss. Touching a green orb will prevent the boss from healing, and failing to touch one in time will heal the boss for 10% of his total health. If a player runs into a red orb, all players will receive AoE damage. After this attack concludes, the attack cycle repeats.
Odin Reincarnation's theme is (raw) Odin's Theme. Odin Reincarnation has a base of 49.07Q HP on Nightmare difficulty.

Tips and Recommendations
- It is recommended to run in groups of 2-5 players.
- To one-cycle mobs with glass cannon in Nightmare, you need at least a trio with 1.7Q+ average damage per hit.
- The orbs from Bob The Frost Giant will chase players indefinitely until either brought to a crystal of the same color, or the targeted player or Bob The Frost Giant dies. However, if players manage their usage of inner abilities well, the orbs can largely be ignored.
- Due to the 'Anti-Healing' debuff, players are required to proceed with caution as they can no longer solely rely on healers for survival.
- Odin's bouncing orbs attack will always have the same movement path. The orbs always spawn starting towards the lower right quarter of the arena. Staying on the left side of the map will give you more time to look at the orbs and dodge better.
- When fighting Midgardian Champion, the boss will be unable to do the Jump attack or throw any shurikens if there are no players in the boss area. As soon as at least one player enters the boss area, the Midgardian Champion will be able to do these attacks and the boss may throw the big shuriken on the pillar instead.
- On non-hardcore runs of this dungeon, when fighting against Odin, it may be wise to intentionally detonate the bouncing orbs to remove them from the arena, though this should only be done if all players have a forcefield, i.e. all players died at around the same time.
- Players who do not have the attention of mobs should still be careful, as Northern Warrior's ranged attack could unexpectedly damage them from afar, while Northern Spearman's attack may hit from behind. To avoid the latter, it is recommended to not be located directly opposite to the mob's target.
- Ideally, teams who are unable to one-cycle Odin should head outside the arena and wait until some of the God Beams have appeared before heading back inside and attacking again.
Trivia
- Northern Lands theme is based off on Norse Mythology.
- Northern Warrior's weapon is an enlarged, light-blue version of the Dual Phantom Daggers from Ghastly Harbor.
- Odin is based on a god from Norse mythology of the same name, sharing many similarities, including a missing eye, a long beard, and possession of the Gungnir.
- If Bob The Frost Giant is defeated while orbs are present, the orb(s) will follow the targeted player throughout the rest of the run until upon contact or if a player starts up the Bonus Boss.
- After The Underworld, this dungeon received most nerfs of all time and is the only mainline dungeon that got attack hitboxes and timings nerfed after release.
- First boss spiked circles have a smaller radius of their explosion instead of damaging all players.
- First boss sun-beam attack lines were thinner, made easier to dodge.
- First boss summons five shurikens instead of seven.
- Second boss orb explosions have a radius instead of hitting everyone, anti healing changed from 3s to 1.5s
- Second boss ice spikes deal 2x damage instead of 3x.
- Second boss orbs move slightly slower.
- Second boss stun duration is 1 second instead of three.
- Third boss anti healing duration is 1.2 seconds instead of 3 seconds.
- Third boss takes longer to start attacking players
- Third boss orbs no longer stun and deal 1.5x damage instead of 2x
- Northern Mageās lines were thinner, made easier to dodge, and anti-healing time reduced from 5s to 0.5s.
- There used to be a safe spot in the middle of the arena when Odin uses his halved-circular beams ability. However, this was patched 10 days after the dungeon's release.
- The mascot for Northern Lands is Odin, and the mascot for the bonus boss is Odin Reincarnation.
- There was a bug with the Midgardian Champion where players could not use the Lightning Burst ability on the boss while on the pillar. This was quickly fixed after the dungeon released.
- Odin had a bug where his missiles were hitting everyone multiplied by how many people were in the group. This was fixed not too long after the dungeon released.
- When this dungeon released, all weapons and armors were missing a digit in the sell costs, selling for the same amount as Boss Raids Tier 1 items.
- The Midgardian Championās weapon is an enlarged version of the Northern Runic Blade, while Bob the Frost Giantās weapon is an enlarged version of the Frost Giant Greataxe.
- Bob The Frost Giant and Odin are both Jƶtunn's, a race of giants personifying the forces of nature.
- Northern Lands is the first dungeon to feature a "Bonus Boss," the Ultimate rarity and the āAnti-Healā negative effect.
- Only in this dungeon (and nowhere else), players are unable to change Cosmetic Titles.
- Northern Lands is the fourth and final dungeon to feature legendary abilities, those being Enhanced Inner Rage and Enhanced Inner Focus.
- There was a bug after defeating Odin Reincarnation giving an incorrect EXP. This later patched on 2024-06-01.
- There was also a bug that Odin Reincarnation's explosive orbs cannot deal damage to player(s) each red orb.
- There is currently a bug that prevents Odin's theme from playing.
- Odin Reincarnation is similarly not played.
