Pirate Island is the third dungeon in Dungeon Quest. It was added on 2019-03-22. The player can access Insane at level 60 and Nightmare at 65. The mobs that can be found here are Pirate Savages, Pirate Riflemen, and Infected Pirates. The theme of this dungeon is an island filled with pirates.
Pirate Island includes three bosses: two mini-bosses being Captain Blackbeard and the Spider Queen, and the final boss, the Demonic Pirate Captain. It is recommended to have at least 2.5K HP for Insane and to have at least 8K HP for Nightmare. Players have eleven minutes to clear the dungeon.
The main theme is (raw) Mighty.
Mobs
Pirate Savages and Pirate Riflemen both deal 222 damage per hit on Insane and 500 damage per hit on Nightmare, while having a base of 165.59K health on Insane and 499.22K on Nightmare. Each enemy vanquished will give 450 EXP on Insane, or 540 with VIP. This number increases to 600 EXP on Nightmare, or 720 with VIP.
Pirate Savage
The Pirate Savage is a melee, humanoid enemy wearing a pirate outfit and holding a sword in its right hand. They are fully physical, and must be close to players in order to attack, getting a permanent increase in speed if they do so. Their damage can stack if they are grouped up with other Pirate Savages. There are 60 Pirate Savages throughout this dungeon, with at least four in every group.
Pirate Rifleman
The Pirate Rifleman is a ranged, humanoid enemy wearing a pirate outfit with a black hat and holding a cannon. They are fully ranged and move slowly. They will keep shooting even if there are no nearby players if they have been aggravated. The Rifleman will aim a red rectangle with a small width and long range in the direction they are facing. They will fire their rifle shortly after aiming, but there is a short cooldown before they can fire again. There are 27 Pirate Riflemen throughout this dungeon, with at least one in every group.
Infected Pirate
The Infected Pirate is a mob spawned by the Spider Queen. It spawns in pairs in the middle of Spider Queen's tunnel between the hiding holes on every other attack rotation. The Infected Pirate has the exact same model as the Pirate Savages, but its body is infected, making it green with a completely different face. Once spawned in, the Infected will rush towards the first player it detects. Even though it is a Level 5 enemy, it will still do as much damage as the Spider Queen does, but they have around half the health of a normal Pirate Savage and move much slower.
They have 107.14K HP on Insane and 241.07K HP on Nightmare difficulty.
Bosses
Pirate Island has three bosses, consisting of two mini-bosses and a main boss at the end of the dungeon. The bosses are Captain Blackbeard, the Spider Queen, and the Demonic Pirate Captain.
Captain Blackbeard
Captain Blackbeard is the first mini-boss the player will encounter on Pirate Island, located in the second room. Captain Blackbeard is a tall humanoid being who wears a black pirate uniform, and is equipped with a larger version of the Pirate Rifleman's cannon. Captain Blackbeard has a total of two moves.
Rifle Shot: Blackbeard will start by aiming his rifle at a random player. Just before firing, a red rectangle will extend from him all the way to the end of the arena. When he fires, any players within the rectangle will be damaged.
Cannon Bombardment: Cannon Bombardment fires multiple cannonballs onto the field. Red circles will appear randomly and explode after two seconds. Anybody inside the circles will be damaged. After the Cannon Bombardment attack, the cycle repeats.
Captain Blackbeard has a base health is 759.78K HP on Insane and 2.39M HP on Nightmare difficulty. Each attack does 1.1K damage on Insane and 2.7K damage on Nightmare difficulty.
Spider Queen
The Spider Queen is the second mini-boss the player encounters on Pirate Island. She resides in a small cave after the fourth room. She is a huge spider sporting a mini pirate hat, and having five small red eyes closed together. She has a total of two moves.
String Blast: Her main attack is a String Blast. Before attacking, players will have three seconds of warning as a blast zone is indicated in red. She will then proceed to fire six blasts in the span of three seconds throughout the room. After this attack, there is a six second cooldown before she can attack again, though it lasts longer whenever she spawns Infected Pirates. A common strategy to use during the String Blast attack involves hugging the wall to the right of the Spider Queen in order to avoid walking back to the hiding area. This strategy has the drawback of dealing damage if the player happens to move during the attack. Another way to avoid it is to wait for the attack to start and then repeatedly jump, allowing players to jump on the Spider Queen's fangs and head. This is risky as falling could lead to death. Additionally, it almost always results in being hit at least once. Though risky, this allows spell use during the attack, allowing for the boss to be killed quicker.
Summoning Infected Pirates: After every other String Blast attack, she will spawn a pair of Infected Pirates that do as much damage as one tick of her String Blast attack per hit. These enemies will sometimes attack each other if they cannot detect another player.
The Spider Queen base health is 701.34K HP on Insane and 2.31M HP on Nightmare. Each blast does around 833 damage on Insane and around 2.2K damage on Nightmare difficulty.
Demonic Pirate Captain
The Demonic Pirate Captain is the final boss of Pirate Island. He is located after the eighth room on the center of the deck of the large galleon. He appears to be a floating black entity with two glowing red eyes, holding a dark red spear in his right hand, and capable of using demonic power. The Demonic Pirate Captain has a total of five moves (two being passive).
Ramp-Up [Passive]: All attacks that connect and deal damage to a player will permanently increase the damage of the Demonic Pirate Captain's attacks. This is most notable with Dark Lightning Tendrils, as each individual hit will increase the damage of future attacks. This damage multiplier will stack indefinitely, leading to massively increasing damage, eventually reaching a point where attacks are capable of killing players with hundreds of millions of health in a singular hit.
Demonic Life Steal [Passive]: When the Demonic Pirate Captain hits a player with either Demonic Lightning Tendrils or Demonic Teleport, he heals a portion of his own health.
Demonic Lightning Tendrils: The Demonic Pirate Captain will teleport to the middle of the ship and summon demonic lightning tendrils from a glowing white portal. These track the player's movement, dealing damage in an area under every player six times, regardless of position. To avoid these, players have to constantly move and split up, as to avoid crossing paths and damaging each other.
Demonic Spin : His next attack is used after a brief pause. The Demonic Pirate Captain will spin around with his staff, hurting anyone within its range. Memorizing the reach of this attack will prevent unnecessary damage.
Demonic Teleport: The last attack occurs after a brief pause, with the Demonic Pirate Captain vanishing for around two seconds and then reappearing on top of a random player, and attacking them with a close-ranged skill similar to Demonic Spin. Players can dodge the attack by moving in a straight line facing away from the attack. The attack pattern will then repeat.
The Demonic Pirate Captain's theme is [1] (raw) Warewolf. The Demonic Pirate Captain has a base health of 993.56K HP on Insane difficulty, and a base health of 2.99M HP on Nightmare difficulty.
Rooms
The spawn is located on the beach of an island with a small ship just off the shore. Behind the row of palm trees, there is an enclosed grassy field with a path leading directly to a large opening. This opening then ascends to a smaller field with cannons lining the sides and Captain Blackbeard patrolling the center of it. After defeating him, the mouth of a cave opens up to a room divided by a small stream with a bridge connecting the two halves. Turning left before crossing the bridge will lead to an egg. The open portion of the cave after the bridge leads to a tunnel, which traverses around a few tight bends. The tunnel then takes a tight left turn to a corridor with three holes carved out on the sides and Spider Queen blocking the path. After defeating her, the cave leads into a large room with a path off to the left that climbs up and around the room. This path leads through another tunnel to a divided room with a bridge over a gap that appears bottomless. At last, the cave's exit leads to a dock with a large galleon anchored at the pier and a few barrels sitting outside. The dungeon concludes aboard the ship with the Demonic Pirate Captain on board.

Trivia
- Pirate Island is the first dungeon to have a timer longer than 10 minutes, the first to have only Insane and Nightmare as playable difficulties, and the first to have two mini-bosses in addition to the final boss.
- In the past, there used to be a large stone skull with red eyes on the rock arc of the first room leading to Captain Blackbeard's arena. This can still be seen from the map preview. Additionally, Captain Blackbeard used to wear a pirate hat with a skull, but this was removed. Skull Flames also changed to Phantom Flames, although it functions the same. Former can no longer be obtained, however it's still available if you have one in your inventory. All of these changes were likely made as Roblox wanted to release to China.
- The Spider Queen is the first female boss.
- Oddly enough, the Spider Queen still has a pirate hat with a skull on it. This is likely an oversight.
- Demonic Pirate Captain is the first boss capable of healing.
- Captain Blackbeard is based on the real life pirate by the same name.
- As of Aura Cosmetics update on 2024-06-08, This dungeon is being now reworked by lighting of all the entire map and making player(s) can see clearly through objects.
Notes
- ↑ In-game, the first 11 seconds are excluded.
