Soundtracks are used to play music for the title theme, dungeon theme, boss theme and lobbies. Here are the current tracks that are still used in Dungeon Quest. Most of these tracks contain buttons that can play the soundtrack directly on the page.
Most tracks are licensed by APM and are free to use since Roblox signed an agreement with them.
APM Licensed Music is only for use on Roblox. Without a separate license, content creators may face copyright claims.
Shazam is capable of detecting most tracks but the sources may be obscure. For example the Pirate Island boss theme is recognized as The Scarecrows - Warewolf. This song is only available via Apple Music and Spotify.
It is possible that Warewolf is a remix of The Living Dead but this has not been confirmed.
The Underworld questing theme (Fight Fight Fight A) was taken down by Roblox due to copyright violations. The music was re-added, but the players and developers can't get it anymore.
Some tracks do not appear within the search engine or in the APM library. It is possible that these tracks have a different name or the location of the track is otherwise obscure.
Before the Yokai Peak update, all dungeon music would start playing as soon as the Start text appeared and the boss music would play 3s after the boss spawned
This was changed so the dungeon music would play 1s after the start barrier was removed and would fade when they start playing or another track is supposed to play.
Yokai Peak is the first dungeon to have a music for mini bosses.
Respawning would make the music completely reset, this was fixed when the backend update occurred on 2023-08-08. The music will now continue when the player dies.
Victory Fanfare themes will start playing when a player gets at least one item (Not including Cosmetics). So completing a dungeon when the inventory is full or completing an event dungeon will result not playing the fanfare theme and the boss theme will continue playing.
