The Starter Wand is a mage weapon in Dungeon Quest, and is one of the two starter weapons given to the player upon first joining the game or making a new character. It specializes in spell power, having 10 to start off with. It can be upgraded twice with gold to improve its physical damage and spell power. It can be sold for a minimum of 100 gold, and requires players to be at least level 1 to equip it. This item cannot be obtained from any dungeon.
Upgrades
If the Starter Wand is entirely upgraded in spell power, it will always have exactly 12 power. Older versions of this item will have exactly 8 power if fully upgraded in spell power.
Trivia
- Older Starter Wands had only 6 spell power to start off with instead of 10. This was changed on 2023-12-08 with the remaster of the Desert Temple dungeon.
- The Starter Wand cannot be obtained by completing dungeons, unlike its warrior counterpart the Bronze Dagger.
- As a result of this, it lacks the natural stat variation seen in nearly every other item in Dungeon Quest.
