On the horizon, you can make the shape of a castle. Faint, but visible. No one dared to venture into the castle, since the disappearance of some men from the town. And you'd probably guess it, they took on the dare of exploring the castle. I know what you're thinking. Has the castle been like that, mysterious and "deadly for those who entered it" (according to some villager)?

Well, no.

This was once a flourishing kingdom, a notable one just to say. And it was one of the largest kingdoms for years, decades, and even centuries. There, three prominent figures controlled the activity within the castle walls. The Forger (or his alias the Beastmaster), the Sorcerer, and the King.

The Forger is the person (or more specifically, entity) who forged the legendary weapons: one dedicated for warriors alike, and the other for mages. The Sorcerer, is well, a gifted mage whose faith lies in the kingdom, and the ruler of it. The King is a title given to the person who has the sceptre of command over the castle grounds.

Things worked well until the 202nd King took his place. He was different from his predecessors: a cruel, narcissistic ruler. It was even rumoured that he originated from the infamous dark kingdoms. He never cared for the civilians, forcefully banishing any who dare put their foot into the perimeter of the castle. This was of course, bad for the kingdom's reputation until the rumour (as stated above) became true. Through a hole that is now sealed off, he sent in a wave of rogue soldiers that the King trained personally to ambush at the most unexpected of times, and mages that were proficient in the darkest of all magic. They killed off all of the guards and served as replacements.

That was not the end of the twisted mind of the King. He manipulated the Forger and the Sorcerer into serving him for an eternity. He also sealed off the castle from the rest of the town, massacring any commoner who dares venture the land. And there he sat, commanding the new and corrupted castle of his: The King's Castle.

Editor's Comments (why not)[]

Sped through the entire story, felt like it was pretty good (but I know that I will not win because of my trashy writing skills + I am a noob). Still, may the best win.

In conclusion, my brain is numb, and my fingers are dry.

Please note that I did this for pure fun as well.
